The department offers majors in Accounting, Business
Administration (with emphases in Accounting, Finance, Financial Services,
International Business, Management, and Management Information Systems),
Business Education/Corporate Training with teacher certification, and Computer
Information Systems. Minors are offered to non-departmental majors in
Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance and
International Business. Additionally, a student may select Accounting and/or
Computer Information Systems as concentration areas for the major in
Interdisciplinary Studies. Designed to prepare students for positions of
leadership in a competitive market, the major and emphasis of choice will equip
the student with the knowledge and skills needed to assume productive places in
graduate school, business, government, the teaching profession, and the
community at large.
A student must attain at least a 2.0 overall grade point
average, as well as a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average in Business courses.
If transferring to Lee from another accredited institution, the student must
earn at least 15 credit hours in required business courses in the major area at
Lee. Six of those semester hours must be taken in upper level courses in the
respective major emphasis.
