| Business Advisory Council |
One of the strengths of the Department of Business is its Advisory Council, which meets twice a year. The Council provides an important link between the classroom and the business world. Members include business people, alumni, and educators. The Council exists to:
- Provide advice and serve as a communication channel between Lee University and the business community.
- Provide advice on curriculum effectiveness, help in the design of new programs, and support efforts to improve the educational process.
- Recommend competent personnel from business and industry as potential part-time instructors and speakers for classes.
- Assist in providing business students with internships and in placing qualified candidates in appropriate jobs.
- Assist the business faculty in developing career and job fairs.
- Keep the department informed about changes in the labor market, specific needs, and surpluses.
- Assess program needs in terms of the entire community.
- Assist the business faculty by providing opportunities in the business world for faculty to stay current and fine-tune their skills through practical application.
