The Lee University School of Music will host the Chamber Music Showcase on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m. in the Squires Recital Hall.

The concert will feature various chamber music ensembles including works for two pianos, piano four-hands, a duo for oboe and guitar, and a trio for the trumpet, trombone, and horn.

Music from composers Samuel Barber, Karl Pilss, Francis Poulenc, and Maurice Ravel will be performed.

Lee’s School of Music recently established its chamber music program, which focuses on classical music performed by small groups of instruments.

“This will be an exciting concert of diverse programming and ensembles,” said Dr. Gloria Chien, artist-in residence at Lee who works closely with the students in the chamber music program. “We look forward to showcasing our students at this final chamber music concert of the semester."

Squires Recital Hall is located in Lee’s Humanities Center on Parker Street.

The Wednesday evening concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public.
