Baker Crowned Lee’s Homecoming Queen 2017

The Lee University student body elected Ali Baker as Homecoming Queen 2017. She was crowned during halftime of the men’s basketball game at Lee’s annual Homecoming festivities earlier this month.

Baker was a representative of the senior class. She is the daughter of Mark and Carol Baker of Temperance, Michigan. Baker is a psychology major and is involved in Delta Zeta Tau and Tau Kappa Omega. She works for A-Force, serves with Crossover, and is a Gateway peer leader. She was escorted by Ben Benavidez III.

Benavidez is the son of Jason and Dondra Sherrill of Merced, California. He is a healthcare administration major and a member of Pi Kappa Pi, Omega Alpha Phi, and Campus Choir. He also serves on the Alternative Chapel Committee.

Also representing the senior class was Mackenzie Clinton from Hendersonville, Tennessee. The daughter of Bill and Crystal Clinton, she is an international business major. She is involved with the Student Leadership Council, Omega Alpha Phi, and Big Pal Little Pal and was escorted by Elijah Hammonds from Newark, Ohio.

Hammonds is the son of Terry and Yvonne Hammonds. He is an anthropology major and a member of Omega Alpha Phi. He also serves as a Gateway peer leader and has served as a resident assistant for Residential Life and Housing.

Another representative for the senior class was Chloe Grabeman, the daughter of David and Linda Grabeman of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. She is a public relations major, as well as a teacher’s assistant and a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America. She was escorted by Trevor Mullikin.

Mullikin, the son of Matthew and Glena Mullikin of Newburgh, Indiana, is a double major in psychology and history. He is the captain of Lee Boxing, a member of A-Force and Tau Kappa Omega, and is also a Gateway peer leader.

Also representing the senior class was Abby Price from Memphis, Tennessee. She is the daughter of Mark and Linda Price. A health science major, Price is involved in Tri Beta. She was escorted by Taylor Woodruff of Apison, Tennessee.

Woodruff, the son of Johnny and Lisa Woodruff, is a public relations major and is a member of Upsilon Xi and Lee Singers. He also works on A-Force, as a Gateway peer leader, and is an anchor on Lee Update.

Representing the junior class was Emily Gates from Atlanta, Georgia. She was escorted by Chris Absher, a Cleveland native.

Another junior class representative was Victoria Parson from Gulf Shores, Alabama, who was escorted by Caleb Montgomery of Woodstock, Georgia.

Representing for the sophomore class was Rachel Wood from Knoxville, Tennessee, who was escorted by Oliver Conn of Cleveland.

Also representing the sophomore class was Sarah Hayes from Cookeville, Tennessee, who was escorted by Dylan Souther from Fort Worth, Texas.

Representing the freshman class was Mallory Smolen from Evansville, Indiana. Corey Dixon from Walnut Grove, Alabama, escorted Smolen.

Also representing the freshman class was Dory Hatchett, of Clarkesville, Georgia, who was escorted by Matt Burchfield from Springfield, Tennessee.
