Mundy and Judkins to Present “The State of the (Marital) Union” Share Tweet Email LinkedIn 01/31/17 Top News University Wide All Inclusive The Lee University sociology program, along with the sociology honor society Alpha Kappa Delta, will host “The State of the (Marital) Union” on Monday, Feb. 6, from 4:30-6 p.m. Dr. Karen Mundy and Dr. Ben JudkinsProfessor of Sociology Dr. Karen Mundy and her husband Ben Judkins, a sociologist and researcher, will speak on marriage beyond the early adult years. Topics will include the current research on marital unions, second marriages, blended family marriages, gender in marriage, and the social disadvantage and disappearance of marriage. There will also be a time of group discussion, and refreshments will be served during the event which takes place in the Lee Humanities Building, Room 203.The seminar is in recognition of National Marriage Week, Feb. 7-14. The event is free and open to the public. People who are mid-life and above, including Lee Encore students, are encouraged to attend.
