Missions Week Offerings Help Spread Christmas Joy in Africa

Lee University helped spread a little Christmas cheer among the children and staff at the Phebe Grey Orphanage in Liberia, Africa, last month around the holidays. Missionaries Max and Debbie Thompson utilized money from donations given by Lee students, faculty, and staff to purchase gifts for everyone at the facility. They were able to receive new clothes, a wonderful meal, and lots of warm wishes from Cleveland, Tennessee, according to Lee Campus Pastor Jimmy Harper. The money was raised during the university’s Missions Week, which was held in October 2016. Pictured here is Debbie Thompson gathered with children from the orphanage.
