A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Wyatt teaches classes such as Applied Saxophone, Commercial Music Theory and History and Improvisation, and is the conductor of both the Lee University Jazz Ensemble and Pep Band. He also serves as the Area Coordinator for the Music Business degree program.Wyatt completed his graduate studies in jazz and commercial music and joined the Lee team as a full-time instructor in 1996. Prior to his appointment at Lee, he was the co-leader of the musical group "Page 1" with his wife Paula Archer-Wyatt. This group performed throughout the greater southeastern U.S. Wyatt maintains his high level of performance through engagements with the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Knoxville Jazz Orchestra, including special engagements.Wyatt has served as a clinician and performer for area jazz festivals, most recently for the East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association as clinician and improvisation lecturer for the Senior Jazz Clinic.Wyatt and his Lee colleague, Shawn Perkinson, perform regularly for the Sunday brunch at Mountain View Inn in Cleveland, Tenn.
